Why families choose us

The care of a specialist, the warmth of a neighbour

Four generations of Fort Erie families have trusted us with their pets. Here's what keeps them coming back.

Compassion first

Unhurried, gentle appointments where your pet β€” and your questions β€” always come first.

One trusted roof

Wellness, dentistry, digital X-ray, in-house lab, and surgery, so you rarely need a referral.

Fast answers

Our in-house laboratory returns most blood-work results in about 30 minutes, not days.

Familiar faces

The same welcoming team, visit after visit β€” the difference a neighbourhood hospital makes.

What we do

Complete care, all under one roof

A full-service hospital β€” from preventive wellness to advanced surgery β€” so your pet rarely needs a referral elsewhere.

Wellness & Prevention

Exams and in-house vaccinations that keep problems small.

Routine wellness examinations and in-house vaccinations let us monitor your pet's health year over year and protect them before illness starts.

Lab & Diagnostics

In-house blood work in about 30 minutes.

Our in-house laboratory delivers blood-work results in roughly 30 minutes. For complex cases we partner with reference labs and offer biopsies and histology for cancer diagnosis.

Digital Radiography

X-ray imaging, including contrast studies.

Complete radiographic imaging β€” including contrast films to locate foreign-body blockages and to help diagnose bladder tumours.

Dental Care

Scaling, polishing, and extractions.

Full dental equipment for scaling and polishing, plus extractions. Our compressed-air dental unit lets us remove even multi-rooted teeth cleanly and comfortably.

Surgery

Soft-tissue and orthopedic procedures.

Soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery performed by our veterinarians, including anterior cruciate (torn ligament) repair for dogs and cats.

Sick-Pet Care

Full diagnosis and treatment when they're unwell.

When your pet isn't themselves, we provide full services for the diagnosis and treatment of sick animals β€” with a clear plan and a compassionate hand.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Everything you need before your first visit. Still curious? We're always happy to chat.

Yes β€” we happily welcome new patients and their families. Choose β€œNew patient” when you book and we'll set aside a little extra time for your pet's first visit.

We do. During open hours, call ahead at 905-871-1653 so our team can prepare for your arrival. For overnight emergencies we'll direct you to the nearest 24-hour facility.

Any previous medical records or vaccination history, a list of current medications, and a note of any symptoms or behaviour changes you've noticed. Bring dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier.

Most requests are confirmed the same business day. Book online in under a minute and we'll call to lock in a time that suits you.

We care for pets across Fort Erie, Ridgeway, Crystal Beach, Stevensville, and the wider Niagara region β€” many families have been with us for decades.

Little habits, healthier pets

A few reminders from our team to help your companion live a longer, happier life.

Yearly wellness matters

Pets age faster than we do. An annual exam catches issues early β€” when they're easier and cheaper to treat.

Don't skip dental

By age three, most dogs and cats show signs of dental disease. Regular cleanings protect their heart and kidneys too.

Stay on top of parasites

Fleas, ticks, and heartworm are active across Niagara. Ask us about the right year-round prevention for your pet.

Know the warning signs

Changes in appetite, energy, drinking, or bathroom habits are worth a call. When in doubt, reach out β€” we're happy to advise.
